As a teenage graphic designer and DTP artist, I worked on flyers for sound systems like Rampage and 90% and a few startup magazines, including Upfront, the official Notting Hill Carnival magazine in the early 90s.

During my university days as a film student, I found myself in the heart of Soho as a young music video director and technical sales assistant for PEC Video where I demonstrated and trained people on non-linear editing equipment and directed my first professional music video for Wayne Marshall – G Spot in 1992, which aired on MTV Base in the UK.  

Opportunities at PEC led me to Ghana and Nigeria on contract, where I helped set up several TV stations and production houses and quickly established myself as a broadcast technician, trainer and creative, producing and directing commercials, documentaries, television programmes and music videos between 1993 and 2003.

Through these visits, I unknowingly intertwined myself in what would become the music genre Hip-Life, credited with shooting the first Hip-life music videos and contributing to the general development of the media industry in West Africa.

My company, Sifex Digital 1996 to 2002, and Ohenemedia/OM Studios 2002 till present, which I founded in Ghana, are recognised as key players in revolutionising the media landscape, introducing 3D animation in the early 90s, production technologies, and innovating music videos and youth entertainment in the sub-region.

Between the UK and Africa, I have had the privilege of travelling and working in over 30 countries. Engaging with high profile politicians, celebrities, prominent leaders and individuals and collaborating with talented people across multiple international companies and brands working on various projects.

Over the years, I have developed a wide variety of valuable skills, including producing, directing, editing, shooting, lighting, production sound, motion graphics, print design, writing, and web design, concept development, photography, 3D animation, corporate administration and management, team leadership, project planning, budgeting, content development, presentation preparation and pitching, hiring and training. I am also well versed in several applications, including Grass Valley Edius, After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator InDesign, Autodesk 3d Max, Corel Draw, Audition, MS Office, PowerPoint, WordPress Elementor, among others.
