Teaching

Abraham Ohene-Djan completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2025, specialising in Media Studies. During his training he taught in UK secondary schools, developing inclusive, learner-centred lessons and effective classroom management skills.

Drawing on over thirty years’ experience as a media entrepreneur and creative director, Abraham brings real-world expertise to his teaching. He has founded and led film and television production companies and has worked extensively across broadcasting and digital media; this industry background enables him to connect classroom learning to contemporary media practice.

Abraham’s teaching philosophy emphasises engaging learners with culturally relevant material and encouraging critical thinking and creativity. As expressed in his PGCE reflections, he views teachers as “architects of the future” and believes that high-quality teacher training is essential for shaping society. He is passionate about digital literacy and aims to empower students to analyse and create media responsibly.
